Colm started as a photographer in the late seventies. At first he worked in the growing Irish music business when Hot Press magazine started. He photographed most of the musicians and performers of the 80's and early 90's showing 4 exhibitions of his work.
A 10 year attachment to the young U2 up to the production of the "Rattle and Hum" film & book was a highlight of this period.
In the 90's with the growing magazine market Colm's distinctive portraits appeared regularily in all the Irish monthly and Sunday magazines.
His photos also appeared in many international magazines including Hello, Marie Clair and The Sunday Times.
The first posters and tour programmes for "Riverdance"were produced in 1996.
In 1998 he was awarded the "Best of Irish" award for his distinctive style in Irish Editorial photography.
In 1999 he put together the photographic content for the new VIP magazine which quickly established itself as the main Irish Lifestyle magazine.
In 2007 his portraits of Irish Entrepreneurs appeared as a special edition which has been taken up by the Irish Government as a promotion for Irish industry.
